Private Equity Associate

A highly active European private capital investment platform is seeking a Private Equity Associate to join its Berlin office.

The team invests in founder-led businesses, industrial technology, software, healthcare, and business services companies, supporting both majority buyouts and growth capital transactions.

This position offers end-to-end deal exposure across acquisition execution, commercial diligence, financial underwriting, value creation initiatives, and exit preparation.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior investment professionals, operating partners, portfolio leadership teams, and external advisors on complex transactions across Germany, the DACH region, and broader Europe.

• Build detailed LBO, operating, and returns models

• Support acquisition due diligence and transaction execution

• Prepare investment committee materials and board presentations

• Conduct commercial, financial, and strategic analysis

• Evaluate new sectors, targets, and proprietary opportunities

• Monitor portfolio company KPI performance and value creation plans

• Support refinancing, bolt-on acquisitions, and exit readiness

• Coordinate with legal, tax, and consulting workstreams

• 2-4 years of experience in private equity, M&A, investment banking, or transaction advisory

• Strong LBO and valuation modeling capabilities

• Experience with buy-side due diligence processes

• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

• Strong commercial judgment and investment mindset

• Fluent German and English communication skills

• Strong academic background in finance, economics, engineering, or business

• Ability to operate in fast-paced international deal environments
