Investment Banking Analyst

A leading independent financial advisory platform is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to join its Frankfurt office.

The team advises corporates, private equity sponsors, and founder-led businesses on M&A, capital raising, and strategic transactions.

You will support live mandates from initial analysis through execution, working closely with senior bankers in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Build financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials
• Support active M&A and capital raising processes
• Prepare pitch books, information memoranda, and client presentations
• Conduct company, market, sector, and buyer research
• Analyse financial statements, business plans, and transaction rationale
• Support due diligence, data room management, and transaction coordination
• Monitor precedent transactions, trading comparables, and market developments

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, M&A, corporate finance, transaction services, or valuation advisory
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills
• Knowledge of DCF, trading comparables, precedent transactions, and LBO analysis
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Strong academic background in finance, economics, business, mathematics, engineering, or a related field
• Fluent German and English required
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and commercial judgement
• Ability to perform in a demanding, deadline-driven environment
